What the library holds

Reference material rather than argument. The current address list, a glossary, a timeline, downloads, further reading and the frequently asked questions. These are the pages to return to rather than to read once, and they are kept deliberately plain so that finding a fact takes seconds.

The address list is the page that matters

Everything else in the library is convenience. The address reference is the page that prevents the most expensive mistake available, which is searching for a marketplace address during an outage and arriving at a copy. Saving that list somewhere reachable without a search engine is worth more than any other habit described anywhere on this site.

How reference material is maintained

Addresses are checked against the last signed operator rotation. Definitions are written so each stands alone without assuming the others. The timeline records what was observable and dated, not what was rumoured. Where something is uncertain it is marked uncertain rather than smoothed over.

What is deliberately absent

No live status board, because a truthful one is not possible: reachability for a hidden service is a property of the circuit between a visitor and the service, so a figure measured elsewhere describes somebody else's evening. The reference pages describe how to take your own reading instead.
